A relatively recent holiday, Women's History Month originated as Women's History Week, and was designated in 1980 by President Jimmy Carter. In his address recognizing the holiday, President Carter said, "Understanding the true history of our country will help us to comprehend the need for full equality under the law for all our people."

The Media Factory has curated a collection of films by and about women and nonbinary filmmakers, artists, and Vermonters in observance of Women's History Month. Watch online here and Saturdays at 8 PM on CREATE, Comcast 1074, BT15 + 215. Also available on the Media Factory Mobile and OTT channels

While these works are available to watch on our channels and online year-round, we aim to amplify our community producer’s work and inspire the next generation to use media to push boundaries, challenge expectations, and make a difference in their communities and beyond.
