The Five Qs with Kira!

Kira Schaefer is one of our two spring interns in the Media Factory 360 Internship. Working with us, Kira developed "Your Podcast, Your Way" -- a new workshop that explores podcast storytelling. And of course, we asked her the Five Questions.

If there was a movie about your life, who would play you?

I would definitely have Emma Watson play me in a movie about my life. I have loved her since I was a little girl obsessed with Harry Potter. People used to tell me I looked like Hermione when I was younger and that is truly my claim to fame. She is also such an amazing role model and person to look up to. 

What is your favorite piece of Media Factory technology, and why? 

My favorite piece of Media Factory technology is definitely the entire radio room. It makes me feel so professional to sit and use the big microphones and fancy headphones. I instantly transform into a 80 year old woman who’s had a talk show for her whole life. 

What is the funniest thing that has happened to you recently? 

Something funny that has happened to me recently is I had an allergic reaction to Veggie straw powder. I feel like that just sounds funny. 

Tell us something we might not know (a fact or piece of trivia that you know for no apparent reason).

You regrow your taste buds every seven years, which is why you might grow to like certain foods you used to hate. My newest round of taste buds really enjoy pickles and guacamole. 

If you had to put your life bio into one run-on sentence, what would you say?

My name is Kira Schaefer and I love to travel and dance and I have two cats and love the color pink and I want to work in media law and I currently run the podcast section at UVM, you guys should go check it out!
